France Serrure

Locksmith on the French Riviera, in the Gironde and the Rhône

Door opening, lock replacement, repairs, securing after a break-in — with a detailed quote before any work.

Where is the door?

Call the line for the area where the door is — not where you live. If you call the wrong one, we will point you to the right one.

How we work

A locksmith job is judged on its method long before its price. Here is ours — the same in all three areas.

  1. An assessment before any work starts

The locksmith looks at the door, its condition and its mechanism before saying anything at all. What he finds is what determines the method used — and its cost.

  2. A detailed quote, given before the work

Call-out work at your home requires a written quote beforehand (French order of 24 January 2017). You see every line item, you give your agreement, and only then does the work begin.

  3. Proof of occupancy, every time

No door is opened without evidence that you actually live there. That protects you as much as it is a rule of the trade.

  4. An itemised invoice at the end

Parts, labour, call-out: every line is identifiable. It is the document your insurer will ask for if the work is covered.

What we do

The same locksmith trade across all three service areas. Details of each service, adapted to local buildings, are available on your area’s website.

  • Door opening

A door pulled shut, keys lost, snapped in the lock or left inside.

  • Lock replacement

A new cylinder or a complete lock, after keys are lost or to raise the level of security.

  • Lock repairs

A key that catches, a mechanism that has to be forced, or a bolt that no longer engages.

  • Securing after a break-in

Repairing and re-securing a forced entry, including both the frame and the door.

  • Door reinforcement

Reinforcing the existing door or fitting a complete security door where the structure permits.

  • Smart locks

Fitting and setting up keyless access control where the door is suitable.

  • Safes

Choosing, fitting and anchoring according to the supporting wall or floor.

Frequently asked questions

Which line should I call?

The one for the area where the door is, not where you live: 06 58 17 32 53 for the French Riviera, 07 81 31 13 95 for both the Gironde and the Rhône — those two areas share a switchboard. Call the wrong one and we will point you to the right one.

Does calling commit me to anything?

No. A call is simply a request for contact. You remain free to accept or turn down the quote you are given, at no cost and without having to explain yourself.

Is the quote really drawn up before the work?

Yes. It is a legal requirement for call-out work at your home, and it is how we work: the locksmith looks, explains, prices — then waits for your agreement.

What should I have ready before the locksmith arrives?

Something proving you live there: identity document, rent receipt, utility bill. If your papers are locked inside, say so on the phone — other forms of proof can be accepted.

Locked out? Two lines, three areas.

A call is a request for contact: it commits you to nothing until you have accepted the quote.
